Product data and correction records
Supplecipe organizes public product names and Supplement Facts for ingredient search. We maintain aliases and rules that distinguish ingredient forms. Confirmed label mismatches in names, units or amounts may also be corrected in the searchable data. We retain original values and supporting evidence; uncertain values are not filled in by guesswork.
Ingredient presence is not a known amount
An ingredient can be listed without its individual quantity being disclosed. It may therefore appear in a basic ingredient search while remaining ineligible for that ingredient’s amount filter. An unknown amount is not treated as zero or as absence. Exclusion conditions still use confirmed ingredient presence.
Example: a 10 mg blend
Suppose a fictional label says “Blend 10 mg: ingredient A, ingredient B” with no individual amounts. A basic search for A may find the product, but the blend does not establish that A is at least 10 mg. We do not assign the entire blend weight to each ingredient or divide it into assumed 5 mg shares.
Units, source materials and servings
Mass units such as g, mg and mcg can be converted. Enzyme activity in FU and organism counts in CFU cannot be arbitrarily converted to mg. Mineral source-compound weight is also distinct from elemental amount. Quantity filters use amounts that can be read on a compatible basis; check how many tablets or capsules make up the labeled serving.
Checking and retesting corrections
We compare a suspected mismatch with available retailer Supplement Facts, manufacturer labels or other source evidence. Matching product names alone do not establish that different sizes, formulations or label versions are interchangeable. After a correction, we retest relevant inclusion, exclusion and amount conditions. Unresolved cases remain on hold.
What the checks do not establish
Auditing ingredient search rules does not mean every product’s latest physical label has been inspected. Formula changes, missing source data and interpretation errors remain possible. Check the actual container and current seller information before purchase or use. Search results and the single-ingredient-focused filter are not certifications of efficacy, purity or suitability.
Sources and authorship of ingredient notes
The site operator prepares the notes with automation and AI assistance for research collection, drafting, translation and checks. Ingredient-specific references such as NIH ODS, NCCIH and research papers are distinguished from general supplement-safety guidance. Search popularity and affiliate links are not evidence of benefit. Findings from different populations, formulations or routes of administration do not automatically apply to every retail product. These notes are not individually clinician-reviewed medical advice.
Revision dates and contact
An editorial revision date records a real content change, not a fresh verification of every cited study or product label on that date. When reporting an issue, include the page URL, product name or ID, the disputed ingredient or amount, and an accessible label source.

AI integration details (experimental)
A browser agent with WebMCP supported and enabled can query public product data on the search page using ingredient inclusion/exclusion, amounts, brands and product type. The tool is named supplecipe_search_products. Open the result link to continue searching with the same filters.
This tool only queries public data. It does not read saved combinations, browsing history or contact messages, or make purchases, submit reports or edit the database. Ingredient filters are sent to our search server and results to your AI provider. Do not enter names, contact details or medical history.
Each request accepts 1-12 ingredient conditions and returns 3 results by default, up to 5. Request limits apply. Normal search remains available in unsupported environments.
The supplecipe_get_ingredient_note tool retrieves an existing note by ingredient and language, including cautions, references and the original link. Unpublished translations are reported as unavailable. Only successful lookup counts are collected, not question text.
