How search results and ingredient notes are prepared.
Product search data
Supplecipe organizes product names and Supplement Facts information shown on iHerb product labels into a searchable index. We do not rewrite the source product database. Spelling variants and search aliases are maintained separately.
- Product ingredient names and amounts follow the available product label.
- Korean and Japanese queries are mapped to English ingredient names through search aliases.
- Distinct abbreviations such as NAD, NAC, and NMN are not merged into one broader ingredient.
- Labels, availability, and regional prices can change, so the current retailer page remains the final reference.
Ingredient note process
Ingredient notes focus on names, forms, units, label-reading points, and cautions that help users compare products. We prioritize public references such as NIH ODS, NCCIH, and MedlinePlus and link the sources used on each page.
Automation may assist with collecting material and structuring drafts. Search mappings, source links, and page presentation are checked before publication. Ingredient notes are general label-reading references, not individual medical review, diagnosis, or treatment.
Corrections and updates
When a search mismatch is confirmed, we update the search index or alias rules instead of altering the source product database. A page's modified date changes only when its content is materially updated.
